Hi, I'm Joe. Welcome to J. Kairis Recycling. Well, we've got some good news in our prices, lately. The prices have been going up. Even, they did a special on the news.
They were talking about the can prices and how there's a shortage of cans. So, we'd like you to bring in some more cans. Our cans today, our aluminum can prices today are 40 cents a pound. Which is at least a dime increase from before. So, we're doing well on the cans. All our metals, all the aluminums, all the coppers, all the brass, every one of them are doing better, right now.
So, the prices are going up. As a matter of fact, they are going up so fast, You'll have to give us a call for the best price and the most accurate prices. But right now, the coppers are over $3 a pound. So with the cans being that high and aluminum that high, we're back to the old days again.
As an example of high prices, our copper aluminum radiators are going for a lot more than they were. They were about 60 cents a pound 6 months ago and now they are about a dollar a pound. The aluminum, there's a shortage on aluminum, which we have the aluminum here and the copper. So, they're doing better. Every kind of metal we buy is doing better.
For example we have an aluminum wheel here and put it on the scale we see it weighs 19 pounds so 19 pounds right now at 41 cents a pound you're looking at eight dollars for this wheel that's what it would be worth the scrap metal to us today our prices do change so but today it's worth $8
