Hello, Joe Karis Here. I am going to show you wire, this wire here, cord wire is worth less than the Romexand the Romex is worth less than the THHN

If you look at the THN, that's a solid piece of copper inside with a small thin piece of insulation so the insulation the percentage is very light when you strip this wire (THHN), you'll get at least70-80 copper out of this wire where when you strip the romex wire you're getting about 50% copper out of the Romex wire it has alot more insulation on it but it's nice and thick and heavy so it's easier to strip in some machines

Then when you come to the cord wire. The cord wire has a flexible multistrand wire inside of it. It's alot harder for the machinery to strip and the weight of the insulation is a lot heavier since people handle it every day and it has to be bent alot so they make the insulation a little thicker plus it will usually have the ends on it so this will be the cheaper wire opposed to the Romex and then you go to the THHN which gets even better, and then we have even a better grade of THHN if you look at this wire, it's nice and this and the insulation is very light on it and you get a good percentage return for the weight when you strip this so you'll strip one foot of this (high grade THHN) and have half a pound, you strip a food of this (Romex) and you got 1./10 of a pound.
